My son discarded this lamp and I thought I would re-purpose it to display some of my husband's golf ball collection. By simply unscrewing the nut under the base of the lamp, you can then separate it from the glass lamp and fill it with whatever you like, shells, marbles, buttons, the list is endless.
Pottery Barn has a pricey version in their newest catalog and I wish I could recall where I purchased this lamp but I know it was not expensive. I did recently see a similar lamp at the Christmas Tree Shops for $9.99.

What a great idea!1 I know several men that would just love this!
I'm not sure what I like most...the yarn project, the table or the lamp make-over.
Thanks! You can see the yarn project completed in another color here: http://robertapm28.blogspot.com/2008/09/needlework-knitted-cable-afghan.html
The table I happily accepted from my son when he no longer had a spot for it along with his lamp....a win win for me!
Wow so creative!

I'm jealous- I've been looking for a lamp like that to put shells in for our guest bedroom. . .
What a great way to make the hubs happy! Diplay his collection!
The finished lamp looks neat. What I am really loving right now is your header picture. Drool. There is not a potted flower to be had around here yet.
Thanks for linking up!
