The kitchen table is set ahead and part of our Christmas decorations until it is put to use for Christmas morning breakfast.  The tablecloth and napkins are "Homespun" and I have had them for years.  The utensil mittens were purchased at "Crate and Barrel" a few years ago.  The cookie jar is from PersonalizationMall.com and can be made up in red and green but I prefer a year round look.  The heart is formed with all the names of our children and grandchildren.  And the deal of the day are the Santa hats purchased recently at the Dollar Tree.

Table Settings: Valentine's Day Table

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY !
The table is set for a casual lunch on Valentine's Day, complete with a little favor bag of Hershey's Kisses for each guest which is closed with a
Valentine pin. The little chalkboard place cards are a set I purchased
years ago at Crate & Barrel.
After purchasing red carnations and baby's breath I added greens from the yard to the chalkboard painted vase which served as the table centerpiece.

Table Setting: Dessert Is Served

This table setting consists of dishes, place mats, napkins, water goblets, vases and the smaller porcelain balls from Homegoods/TJMaxx, along with slate place cards from Pottery Barn and a candle vigil light centerpiece from Crate and Barrel. The large porcelain balls, bearing the first initials of each member of our family, are from the Christmas Tree Shop.
And dessert was served!  The brownie waffles and butterscotch sauce recipes can be found here.

Table Setting: Pre-Christmas Family Dinner

Because our family was not able to be all together on Christmas Eve or Day last year, we had a Pre-Christmas dinner to celebrate the season a bit early.  Place cards included baby photos as well as an over sized chocolate chip cookie with the guest's name piped onto it with frosting.  Just follow the directions on the Nestles bits package and use a large scoop to measure batter when baking cookies.
MERRY CHRISTMAS !

Table Setting: Informal Indoor Dining After the Pool

The dinner menu appears in the frame on the table.   Ironically, I found and loved the dishes on a trip to Bermuda and carried them back on the plane only to then find additional plates in the pattern at our local TJMaxx!  The placemats and napkins are from William Sonoma and the vase and salad tongs from Homegoods.

Table Settings: Dessert in Blue & White

Here is a photo of a recent table setting I used when friends came for dessert. The napkins are from "Pottery Barn" ("I scream, You scream, We all scream for Ice Cream !") as well as the napkin rings and bottle place card holders. The votive holder is a favorite from "Crate and Barrel". Naturally, dessert involved ice cream !

Table Settings: Casual Dinner Table

Father's Day involved some time at the pool and a casual dinner. This would also work for the Forth of July.

Table Setting: Family Celebrations Dinner

This table setting celebrated a few family events and includes Paris, London and Venice plates and mugs, "City Scenes" by Interiors, as well as alphabet and number porcelain balls all purchased at TJMaxx and Marshalls.
The table runner was purchased at Coldwater Creek on clearance and the votive holder is from Crate and Barrel.
The chalkboard place cards were found at Pottery Barn.
The shot above is the table's reflection in the mirror and the photo below is the photo without the mirror frame but with the camera lens in the upper right corner!

Table Setting: Dining Room Tabletop

I couldn't resist picking up a few packages of those alphabet and number porcelain balls when they went on clearance at TJMaxx/Homegoods and Marshalls.  The vases are also from my favorite stores.  The votive holder was purchased at Crate and Barrel and the beach stone table runner is from Coldwater Creek.

I tied some raffia I had on hand around the neck of this vase.

Table Setting: Birthday Dinner in Beige and White

When the family came to celebrate my birthday yesterday this is how I set the table for dinner.
The river rock table runner is from Coldwater Creek - loved it moment I saw it.  The napkins are Homespun, the corked bottles holding sand and the place card at each setting are from Pottery Barn as well as the cork wine bottle holders.  The votive candle centerpiece is from Crate and Barrel.  The stainless is from Macy's and the goblets from TJMaxx/Homegoods.  And the beautiful pink geranium is from a very good friend !

Table Setting: Dessert With Friends-Paris Inspired

The dishes are a new purchase from TJMaxx's clearance ($2 each!) - reminiscent of a trip to Paris a couple of years ago. The napkins and placemats, goblets and  vase are from TJMaxx/Homegoods as well as the chef holding the chalkboard.  All purchased on clearance.  The votive candle holder is from Crate and Barrel, the river rock table runner is from Coldwater Creek (and I was thrilled to score IT on clearance) and the napkin holders, which are mini vases, are from Lillian Vernon.  The placecard "photo" holders
are also from Crate and Barrel.

Table Settings: Dessert Setting in Blue

Another table set for dessert. These place mats and napkins are from "Williams Sonoma Marketplace". The votive holder centerpiece is from "Crate and Barrel". The place cards depict the guest's photo "then" and "now" on each side.

Table Settings: Informal Lunch for Three

When friends came to lunch recently we dined informally at the kitchen island.  They were so nice to bring the lunch so all I had to do was set the scene and provide dessert which was "Peg's Sour Cream Coffee Cake".
Thank you ladies!

Table Settings: Dessert in Navy and Yellow

The napkins and runner for this table setting are from Coldwater Creek.  The place card photos holders are a from Pottery Barn and the votive holder from Crate & Barrel.  The place mats are from Homegoods.  The combination of navy and yellow is a perennial winner.
