Needlework: Crocheted Valentine Envelopes

 These Valentine Envelopes are decorated with the Valentine Rosette.  I slipped a heart cookie cutter inside and tied the valentine card onto the ribbon.  The pins can be detached to wear on clothing or bags etc. [It might be a good idea to spray the backs with hair spray to prevent the red felt from rubbing off.]

About 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches
Crochet Hook Size H-8
With A or B, ch 26.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across -25 sts.
Row 2:  Ch 1, turn.  Sc in each st across.
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures about 8 inches from beginning.
Fasten off.
Finishing:
Bring 3 corners together at center to make Envelope.  Sew corners and seams.
Edging:
With wrong side facing, join contrast color A or B at edge of Envelope "flap".  Slip st evenly along flap.  
Next Row: Ch 1, turn.  Sc in each st around.  Fasten off.  Weave in ends.
