Needlework: Black Knit Shrug

This shrug is a free knit pattern from Lion Brand and is easy to make. It is knitted in stockinette stitch.  You can sign up to receive their free patterns at no charge.

After completing a 32'x32' square, I folded it in half and stitched down the sides, leaving 7" open on the fold end.  (Armholes are at the top and bottom of the above photo.) The pattern calls for the finished piece to be 34"x36" and that would just make the shrug a little wider and longer.

Thanks for the post! I might even be able to accomplish that one. My experience so far in knitting is hats, hats, and more hats. time to move on. :-)
