Jenn at Life in Bonetown has invited me to participate in a "blog game" which involves choosing the sixth photo printed in my blog and, lo and behold, it is an entry about our trip to Paris in June of 2008. Ah, memories....
Check out her blog for more details about the game.
Starting each day with a buttery croissant from "Paul Pattisserie" (see middle photo) was a guilty pleasure during our recent trip to Paris. We had wonderful weather for viewing all the must see sites. We were advised by friends to make use of the Batobus which runs continuously on the Seine and we happily took their advice. This provided our transportation between the Eiffel Tower, the Army Museum and Invalides, Musee d'Orsay, St. Germain-des-Pres, Notre Dame, the Pantheon, Hotel d'Ville, and the Louvre. Since our hotel, the Marriott, was located on the Champs Elysees, the Arc d' Triomphe was a short walk down the street as well as the Grand and Petite Palaces and a variety of restaurants. It was a crowded train ride one day to Versailles. The gardens and grounds of Versailles were magnificent as was the mansion itself.
Once again we were thrilled with our Marriott Rewards program which allowed us to exchange points for lodging at this wonderful hotel.

Oyyyyy! Fabulous pictures! I want to go there someday! My last child is finally leaving the nest at the end of this month so perhaps we'll have the chance to do some travel in the coming years!
