Crafts: Dish Towel Cutlery Carrier

These carriers are easy to make and provide a useful way to provide cutlery at a picnic or bbq.  The towel can be used as a napkin as well.  If you have access to an Ocean State Job Lot, these 100% cotton towels were 4 for $2.00.  Can't beat the price.
Start with a standard dish towel about 15 x 24 1/2.  Lay the towel, pattern side down, and fold up 7" from the 15" side.  With a sewing machine, stitch one end of the folded towel closed.  Next, fold the ribbon in half; sandwich about 1/2 inch of the ribbon's fold into the towel's other open side.  Sew together to form one large pocket.
Form the three 2 1/2" pockets by sewing vertical lines through folded towel.
The top of the towel will be a flap to cover the silverware once you roll the tote.  Tie the ribbon around the roll to close.
