Here is a sample of some crewel work I did when my children were young. Concentrating on knitting as a pastime at the moment. But this is nice way to document a baby's birth and something they will always have. I did have them professionally framed under glass and the colors have held up perfectly over the years.

ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful. I still have some my grandma made for me when I was a child and my children even has some that she had started and I finished after she died before they were born. It is so special to them and to me to have them hanging in their room.

Thanks for the memories. I did a cross stitch of the last one - babies don't keep. Mine are now 30 and 33!
