Needlework: Baby Crewel Work

Here is a sample of some crewel work I did when my children were young.   Concentrating on knitting as a pastime at the moment. But this is nice way to document a baby's birth and something they will always have. I did have them professionally framed under glass and the colors have held up perfectly over the years.

  11. These are beautiful. I still have some my grandma made for me when I was a child and my children even has some that she had started and I finished after she died before they were born. It is so special to them and to me to have them hanging in their room.

  17. Wow! These are awesome! I'm just now trying to pick up embroidery and eventually move into working with yarn for crewels.

    I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm a knitter too. :-)
