Needlework: Pillow for Deck Chair

This pillow is really easy to make.  An overlap provides the back opening so no buttons or zippers are required.
For the ties, cut two strips of approximately 1.5 inch wide fabric, 36 inches long. Fold each side into the center then fold in half and stitch down the length of the tie.  Fold over a small seam at the top and bottom as well.
Measure out enough fabric to cover your pillow form and also overlap about 8 inches.
Pin the ties, folded in half, upside down, between the right sides of the top of the cover so that they are INSIDE when you stitch. The photo shows the placement of the ties but when you stitch, they should be between the fabric with the edges caught in the top seam.
Turn the raw edge of the openings and stitch. Then stitch the top and bottom seams.
This photos shows the top and bottom sewn, with the ties inside. Clip the corners and turn the pillow case to the right side.  Slide the pillow form in between the overlapped opening.
