Needlework: Baby Sweater, Blanket, Hat, Booties and Ducky in Blue and White

This set is a mix of patterns I have collected over the years. It consists of the zip-up hooded sweater from Columbia Minerva Book 766 "Beautiful Baby Book, Infants to Four Years" with accessories including a comfy blanket. The blanket is simply done in stockinette stitch with a border worked in garter stitch.
The bootees, No. 3005, can be found in "Lovable Hand Knits, Infant to 4 Years" vol. 30 available on amazon.com.
The Beret is from a pamphlet I picked up years ago but it is still available on amazon.com also. Amazing - you can find just about anything on amazon.
The yarn is "Bernat Baby Coordinates, Sweet Stripes" and is "self-striping" which allows you to knit in stripes without going from one color to another. Very clever. This particular pattern is called "Sailor Stripes".

I love the blanket especially. And the hat. It all looks so soft.

What a darling set! I love the way that self-striping yarn worked for these items. I love to knit baby sweaters, because they're so much faster than bigger ones. But I tend to crochet baby blankets, as knitting all that stockinette is too boring! I've got a couple of fall-arriving babies I need to knit for soon. I haven't tried a zip-up sweater!
